  • Slisha organized a TOT training to the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association team; they were Program Coordinator, Local Program Leaders and 2 Volunteers.

    The purpose of the training was to develop the participant’s knowledge, competencies and skills to handle the processes and training in WAWCAS Preparation Phase, and to make them capable to implement WAWCAS Program in their local areas. The training was theoretical and practical based training where different methodologies were used including field visits.

    All training content and methodologies used are meant to be used in the WAWCAS training with the women groups too.

    Training was conducted according to the schedule and timetable. Every learnt skills and knowledge throughout the day was reviewed in the evening session and morning session with aid of different training methodologies. The training delivery was based on participatory approach.

  • Our Volunteer Ms. Sarah Murphy completed her volunteer work from June 2012. She started work with us as a volunteer for Slisha children home from December 2011. During her period she helped children to do their home work, playing with kids taught new techniques to all kids, and also involved with WAWCAS program. She also learnt Nepali culture, social issues, situation of women and children in Nepal. We wish her very bright future and successes in her each and every step. Thank you Sarah being with us we miss you a lot.
