Slisha’s 24th AGM: A Step Toward Organizational Sustainability

Slisha held its 24th   Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 21st September 2024, with Chairperson Raju Baniya chairing the session. The meeting began on a warm note, with Keshav Adhikari welcoming the attendees.

The Finance Officer of WAWCAS program, Bibek Pariyar supported by organizational treasurer Renu Maskey, presented the audit reports along with a detailed comparison of expenditures versus income. Program Director of the WAWCAS program, Sirish Shrestha, provided a comprehensive review of the progress report and the upcoming year’s plan. The AGM’s central focus was on ensuring the sustainability of the organization, a goal unanimously approved by the members alongside all the presented reports.

An engaging discussion on how to celebrate Slisha’s 25th establishment anniversary brought creative ideas to the table, including a Walkathon, lighting ceremonies, and a gala dinner. Members were encouraged to share their ideas to mark the special occasion.

Founder Sangeeta Shrestha expressed heartfelt gratitude to the WAWCAS team, CBCD team, the Board of Directors, and all the members, acknowledging that their hard work and dedication have been the driving force behind Slisha’s success. She highlighted that the spirit of “WOW WAWCAS” and “WOW CBCD” is a reflection of the collective effort of the teams and board members.

Chairperson Raju Baniya closed the AGM by thanking everyone for their valuable time and contributions. He repeated the importance of working collectively to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization, inviting members to continue brainstorming innovative ways to support this vision.

The AGM was a testament to the commitment, passion, and unity of Slisha’s members, all of whom are dedicated to strengthening the organization for years to come.
