Slisha successfully conducted a three-day training on fundraising for representatives of LNGO on August, 2024. Held at the Gateway Himalaya Hotel in Lamjung, the training attracted 23 participants from 10 regions, along with members of the central committee, all of whom were eager to enhance their fundraising capabilities.
The training focused on equipping participants with practical strategies to raise funds and tap into local resources effectively. A key component of the training was stakeholder analysis, where participants identified both positive/supportive and negative stakeholders. Crucially, discussions were held on strategies to convert negative stakeholders into supportive ones, emphasizing the importance of building strong, positive relationships with all community stakeholders.
By the end of the training, each participating region, as well as the central committee, had developed a tailored fundraising plan. The training also incorporated daily reviews and evaluations using a weather chart, allowing participants to track their progress and reflect on their learning.
The participants expressed high satisfaction with the training, noting that it provided them with clear and actionable insights on generating funds through various activities and increasing donor membership within their organization. This training marks a significant step forward in strengthening the financial sustainability of the LNGO, further empowering them to continue their impactful work in their respective communities. The Participants stressed the importance of regular follow-ups for the LNGO by the WAWCAS program, just as they were before.
