On July 18, 2024, Slisha successfully conducted a Women’s Health Awareness Camp in Ward No. 5 of Chandragiri Municipality at the Hi-Vision area. This important initiative was aimed at addressing the health needs of women in the community, particularly those associated with the WAWCAS group. The event saw active participation from 42 women, demonstrating the strong community interest in health and well-being.
The health camp was led by Dr. Abhilasha Shah and her dedicated team from the Lokhit Arthritis & Rheumatology Center. Out of the total participants, 23 women received thorough health checkups. The medical team not only provided personalized health assessments but also distributed free medicines tailored to the specific health conditions identified during the examinations. Women who required further medical attention were given detailed advice on follow-up consultations with relevant specialists, ensuring that their health needs are comprehensively addressed.
The success of this health camp has stimulated plans for additional health camps in other centers and districts, in collaboration with the Lokhit Arthritis & Rheumatology Center. The women from the WAWCAS group expressed their gratitude for the camp, appreciating the opportunity to receive quality healthcare services directly in their community.
