Empowering Parents to Build Stronger Futures for Children
9–10 July 2026
As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening children’s holistic development, we successfully organized two Parents’ Workshops at our Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centre and Tuition Centre on 9 and 10 July 2026, bringing together 54 parents and caregivers. These interactive workshops reinforced the vital role that parents play in their children’s learning, emotional well-being, and overall development while strengthening the partnership between families and our learning centres.
Building Strong Foundations at the ECD Centre
On 9 July, 24 parents participated in an engaging workshop focused on child development and positive parenting. Parents began by visiting classrooms, where they observed learning environments, explored child-centered teaching methods, and interacted with teachers about their children’s daily experiences.
Teachers shared encouraging progress, highlighting improvements in children’s confidence, English language skills, classroom participation, and healthy eating habits. Parents appreciated the opportunity to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of how learning takes place in the ECD centre.
The workshop continued with interactive activities that encouraged parents to reflect on their own childhood experiences and connect these memories with the importance of nurturing children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Through open discussion, parents explored practical ways to create supportive home environments where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
By the end of the session, parents recognized that children’s development flourishes when schools and families work together through positive communication, mutual trust, and shared responsibility.
Promoting Mental Well-being at the Tuition Centre
On 10 July, 30 parents attended a workshop dedicated to children’s mental health and positive parenting. The session began by reviewing outcomes from the previous workshop on nutritious food, where many parents proudly shared positive changes they had made at home to improve their children’s diets.
Building on this success, the discussion focused on understanding children’s emotional well-being, recognizing early signs of emotional challenges, and creating supportive family relationships. Parents actively shared their experiences, discussed common parenting challenges, and learned practical strategies for promoting children’s confidence, resilience, and healthy emotional development while reducing stigma surrounding mental health.
The highly participatory discussions created a safe space for parents to learn from one another and reinforced the importance of open communication within families.
Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities
Together, these two workshops demonstrated that parents are essential partners in every child’s journey toward a healthy and successful future. By equipping families with practical knowledge and creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue, we continue to strengthen the connection between home and school—ensuring that children receive consistent support both in the classroom and at home.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all parents for their enthusiastic participation and commitment to their children’s growth and well-being. Their engagement reflects a shared vision of creating safe, nurturing, and empowering environments where every child can thrive.
